Manchester to host national outsourcing conference

5/20/2009
Manchester has been chosen to host the National Outsourcing Association’s conference on customer service for the fourth year running.

The one-day gathering on June 24 at the Malmaison Piccadilly, the NOA’s only event outside of London this year, will hear from Gary Clapham, head of delivery and account management for Co-operative Financial Services, who will deliver a presentation about an outsourcing contract with Capita, which led to the two companies winning the business process outsourcing project of the year at the 2008 NOA Awards. Other speakers include a representative of Warrington payroll outsourcing company Parasol.

NOA Board member Adrian Quayle said “Manchester is aspiring to become a UK outsourcing centre of excellence for customer service. We are once again pleased to host our annual regional event in Manchester and are looking forward to hearing from some of the Region’s true success stories.”

Colin Sinclair, chief executive of MIDAS, Manchester’s investment agency, said: “MIDAS’ specialist outsourcing team has worked incredibly hard to again secure the regional NOA event for Greater Manchester. This success reflects the significant growth the outsourcing sector has experienced in the last few years, and we are looking forward to showcasing our city region to delegates from across the country.”
